I work with companies, organisations or individuals to develop well-targeted and comprehensive communications strategies that support the achievement of organisational objectives. These strategies can include media relations, reputation management, stakeholder communications, crisis management and profile development.

I work in three principal ways:

  • As an independent communications specialist commissioned to create and direct integrated communications work for a brand or project.

  • As an in-house communications lead to shape or revitalise strategy, manage teams and stakeholders, and direct campaigns.

  • As a consultant on the activation of corporate social responsibility partnerships; advising on strategies to capitalise on communications potential through brand profiling, audience development and reputation management.

My consultancy service is for you if you want to create a targeted, sustainable and efficient communications strategy designed around your mission and your audience.

If you are looking for support or guidance for your communications but aren’t sure what solution is best for you, give me a call.

With the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26, being hosted by the UK in November 2021, more and more organisations are considering their carbon footprint and how they respond publicly to the threats posed by the climate crisis.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a detailed framework which organisations can interpret to guide their own progress, in the knowledge that they’re taking action in line with an agreement signed by the 193 UN member states.

I work with organisations to audit their existing policies and activities relating to environmental and social impact, before working with leaders to identify and implement the most appropriate strategic improvements.

My work includes four important strands:

  • familiarising trustees, directors, employees, volunteers and other stakeholders with the climate crisis and the SDGs

  • working with leaders to draft policies and strategies which support brand values and demonstrably increase action in sustainability

  • developing internal communications strategies to support implementation of new policies

  • creating external communications strategies to raise awareness of sustainability work and influence peers and audiences to take their own actions.

I hold a certificate from The University of Copenhagen’s course ‘The Sustainable Development Goals: A global, transdisciplinary vision for the future’. I have studied the principles of sustainable development with Columbia University, as well as exploring the steps towards a Zero Carbon Britain with the Centre for Alternative Technology, and what actions can be taken by individuals, businesses and civil society with Hawkwood College.
